Terms and Conditions

In order to create clear communication and a guideline for our clients and employees we have created this to help all parties understand and follow the following terms and conditions apply to our company, clients, and all spaces we service.

Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC is a professional residential and commercial cleaning business. We maintain liability insurance and workmans comp insurance.

All cleaning supplies and equipment are provided by Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC and are the property of Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC. We are unable to use customer equipment or supplies that are not property of Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC without a signed waiver (home owner supplies waiver only).

Phone/Business hours:

We are available by phone Monday – Friday 9:00am– 5:00 pm; if we do not answer leave a voice message and we will return your call as soon as possible. In the event of an emergency or you need to cancel a service you may call at any time. Please reserve inquires for regular business hours.

Cleaning Hours:

We are available for cleaning Monday – Friday between 9:00am – 5:00pm. We do offer cleanings before and after parties any day of the week, but these need to be scheduled in advance for availability. We do offer emergency services with a 24 hour notice for an extra charge if available.

Holidays - We observe New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Juneteenth, Good Friday Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Scope of Work:

All properties are quoted based on the scope of work outlined by a client. Should the scope of work change in any manner beyond the original bid, Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC will provide an up to date quote accurately outlining the new pricing terms. If we find that our original agreement does not properly reflect the amount of time needed to complete your premises, we will notify you in written format. The client will have 7 days to review the new quote and consent. If consent is not received in written format within 7 days, you will automatically be charged the new rate.

For this reason, all clients are subject to price increases, yearly or otherwise. At no time is a quote offered considered final or long term pricing.

Our Team:

We are a small company. We know what is required and what is expected on every cleaning visit. All employees are covered under our general liability insurance.

Utilities:

All utilities need to be on and in working order prior to arrival of scheduled cleaning crew. This includes Water and Electricity. Failure to have both of these on will cause us to bill you a full cleaning. If you home does not have Air Conditioning and/or Heat please make us aware, we may need to schedule you that best suits us, depending on time of year.

Payments:

50% of the total cost will be required to book an appointment. This will be the deposit. This deposit will apply to your full payment. Full payment is due upon arrival. Services will not start until full payment is received. All clients are required to have a card on file regardless of payment type.

For your convenience, we gladly accept: Cash (Customers paying with cash may leave payment at their residence in an envelope)

Credit/debit card payments (Customers who pay with a credit or debit card authorize Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC to charge your card on file accordingly. Charge backs are subject to litigation at all means necessary to acquire funds for services rendered. If the credit card on file is declined we will have to reschedule your appointment.)

Customer Satisfaction and Refunds:

Since cleaning is a very personalized and subjective service, we cannot offer refunds to customers. However, we want you to be 100% satisfied with our services! We offer a Guarantee on all our services if a task was not completed to your satisfaction or was missed during our visit simply contact us within 24 hours, and we will return to your home and re-clean the area or task with which you were dissatisfied at no additional cost to you. There are no refunds for gift card purchases.

You agree to inform Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC within 24 hours of service completion of any dissatisfied areas.

You agree to choose a cleaning in the open appointment windows provided by our office to remedy the issue.

Re-cleaning must be completed within 7 days from the time of initial service. No exceptions.

Re-cleaning time can’t be longer than 1 maid 1 hour or 2 maids for 30 minutes.

Complainants will be denied if the customer was notified that the estimates provided are not enough time to service a home properly and customer declined additional time. Our cleaners will only allot an additional 30-minute time window outside of the time estimated to clean. No exceptions.

All accounts must be paid in full before additional services or re cleans are scheduled.

If customers home contains large amounts of trash, clutter, décor, or more than 6 items in any given space we will not move them to clean underneath.

We are not a “restorative” cleaning business. While we can clean, disinfect, and overall improve a space from a cleanliness standpoint, we cannot be held accountable for old/aging fixtures, fading shower pans, or otherwise referred to as “un maintained” homes.

Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC cannot, and will not, handle any items that may be classified as a weapon. This includes but is not limited to: firearms (décor or otherwise), switch blades, knives, pepper spray. If these items are present in a home, an employee will clean around these items, and not underneath.

Keys and Alarm Systems:

Many of our customers provide us with a copy of the key to their home, and we take extreme measures to protect each key. Each key is locked in our key safe box. We do not return keys by mail. Keys must be hand-delivered in person to the customer. If you have an alarm system at your home you can give instructions on its operation. However, we prefer that your alarm be left off on the day of the cleaning.

Lock Outs/Show up fee’s:

A show up fee happens when we show up and are locked out of the property or when your proxy forgets to leave a key. And it can also happen when we show up and you refuse to let us in to clean when we arrive. What happens when we arrive and get no answer at the door? We will call you first, then we will wait 15 minutes to hear back from you. We will also leave you a message on your voice mail. If after the 15 minute window has expired we will leave the job site. You will be billed for the full cleaning.

Arrival Window:

If you wish to be present during the cleaning visit, please be advised that we provide arrival windows. Your Cleaning Technician(s) will arrive anytime within your scheduled arrival window. You are expected to be present or have made arrangements for us to gain access to your home within your scheduled arrival window. Failure to do so may result in having to cancel or reschedule your visit,

Cancellations/Rescheduling:

We require a 48 hour notice of cancellation/rescheduling of original scheduled cleaning date. Failure to give us a 48 hour notice will cause us to bill you for the minimum charge of $275.00. This includes being turned away at the door of your property. If you do give a 48 hour notice, we will refund you the original amount minus $75.00 booking fee. Also require to have both Electricity and Water on and in working order when cleaning crew arrives, failure to have this on and in working order will also cause us to bill you for a full cleaning. Excessive cancellations will require full payment before booking is allowed.

Booking Fee’s:

What is a booking fee and why do I have to pay one? As of the writing of

this paperwork there isn’t a software program that integrates all of this under one program. This all has to be done by hand. Remember it’s our job to “sell” spot’s on our schedule. We hope that this helps you understand why we have a booking fee.

Pets and Infestation Restrictions:

At Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC, we love animals! We are happy to greet and welcome any animal in your home. Please be advised that we will not clean pet homes/beds, litter boxes, pet waste including: Bird poop, cages or crates interior, urine and feces, blood or any manner of what will be considered “kennel cleaning.” For this reason, we will not service homes that exceed 4 animals.

Infestation- We reserve the right to vacate without refund or completed cleaning of any home that shows signs of infestation active or otherwise. This is to include but not limited to: scorpions, bed bugs, black widows, rats or mice, cockroaches, or any other pests not previously mentioned.

Your Valuables:

If you have valuables or heirlooms, including but not limited to any irreplaceable, collectible or expensive objects, it’s preferred that these items are secured and put away to avoid potential accidents. You are responsible for letting us know of any valuables that you prefer we not clean or handle. Please secure money, credit cards, and checkbooks as well.

Limitations, Liabilities, and Additional Information:

Any and all properties agree that Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC and its affiliates at any time can photograph your home to show improvements in space and to use for promotional reasons. Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC agrees to not include photographs of people other than the staff that are employed at Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC, give away location details, addresses or names of clients.

All properties that are currently in a “pricing agreement” or have been given weekly, bi weekly, or monthly price estimates are subject to that pricing only if continued services are rendered. If any property, at any time, exceeds a 1.5 hour window of cleaning, client will be subject to a deep or a initial clean price before “recurring” pricing will take effect again.

Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC cannot, and will not, access any areas of a home that are considered "private". These areas include safes, bedside tables, closets, drawers, and any areas that may contain personal effects. For this reason, we are unable to clean areas that include interior of furniture, safes, gun safes (including any and all weapons of any nature), garages, or personal office spaces. In addition, Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC is unable to clean or service any electronics included but not limited to, TVs, Computers, Laptops, Phones, or any items relating to these categories without prior authorization and signature of this page absolving us of any liabilities related to damages that may occur.

Waiver of Liability for Client Provided Equipment:

If you have a preference of use of equipment/cleaning supplies for your property, please advise the office prior to the beginning of your scheduled clean. Any items provided by the homeowner are not the responsibility of Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC to maintain. Any damages, wear and tear of these items, and breakage are the responsibility of the homeowner. Alexandria Cleaning Co LLC will not refund, replace, or compensate any client for general wear and tear of preferred use items.

Broken/Damaged Items:

We train our staff to take extra care with your belongings, however regrettably and although not common from time to time something may be broken or damaged If there is an item that is believed to be damaged by one of our cleaning professionals, it must be reported to the company within 24 hours from the completion of the service in efforts to properly investigate the issue. If we damage anything during the service being provided, we will notify the customer immediately. In the event an item is damaged or broken, we reserve the option to repair or replace the item. We cannot take responsibility for items that were damaged because they were not properly attached or secured (for example, a hanging picture that was improperly attached to the wall or an item that is propped against a surface).

Glass Shower Door(s), Toilet(s), Faucet(s):

You are responsible for notifying us if your glass shower door(s), faucets, or toilet is NOT 100% secure. If upon inspection the team recognizes that your shower door(s), toilet, or faucet is not fully secure you will be notified of the risks immediately. At that time you have the option to decline service of that item or we can proceed with service. If the client decides to proceed with service client agrees not to hold Alexandria Cleaning Company nor its employees responsible if this results in the shower door, toilet, or faucet being damaged. We are not responsible for any damage (water damage included) due to faulty and/or improper installation of any item. This includes but is not limited to any water damage caused by: toilet over flooding, loose or leaky faucets, water dispenser on refrigerator.

Extra Services:

If you require extra services or additional cleaning on your scheduled cleaning day, please contact us 48 hours in advance so we may allow the extra time needed at your home and we can give you a quote for the additional services.

Lifting & Climbing & Bending:

Our employees are very important to us, and we are determined to keep them safe, so they do not climb higher than a 3ft 2-step ladder, move or lift items heavier than 20 lbs, or clean floors on their hands and knees with the exception of bathroom floors. These types of activities put our cleaning staff in danger of back injury or could even damage something in your home. However there might be times when you want us to move furniture for example; tables, large chairs, etc. in these cases we are not responsible for; their breakage due to aged/old or faulty manufacturing nor are we responsible for any damage moving these items may cause to your floor. The cleaning team will not move furniture that contains electronics. The cleaning team will clean behind the stove, fridge, washer/dryer providing you have made it accessible and /or moved it prior to our cleaning visit. We do ask that you place the appliances back into its proper place as well.

Refrigerator/Oven:

We will not pull out a refrigerator, due to water lines attached to most refrigerators. Nor will we pull out ovens. If you would like to have us clean behind said unit please pull the unit out and then we will be more than happy to do that for you.

Tenant/Home Owner can pull out the refrigerator/oven at their own risk. We will not be responsible for any damages caused to any floor or water line etc. All Refrigerators & Freezers need to be empty upon arrival of cleaning crew. If you need a cooler delivered to put your food inside while we clean. We will add on an additional $150.00 to do so. (Based on availability). Cleaning of SubZeros Refrigerators are $150.00.

Wall Washing:

If you need your walls washed please arrange this with the office before hand. If home is furnished. All Art Work, Prints etc. will need to be remove prior to the arrival of cleaning crew. If multiple nails are present we will still wash them as best we can. And we will need to have all furniture pull out and away from walls. If this is something that you can’t manage please let us know and we will arrange this for you then add it to you bill. If there is something not listed on this list that you would like cleaned

please just ask the office to see if it realistic and we will add it to your bill. Please be advised that not all markings are removable without causing damage to paint.

Blinds/Window Dressings:

Please note that due to the age and condition of blinds, mini blinds, plantation shutters and all vertical blinds, if cleaned by our cleaning crews, we will not be responsible for any damage caused by cleaning. In addition, all window sills will need to be clutter free before we can vac/ dust or wash them. If items are present inside of window sill, we will skip that set of blinds entirely. This is the same for decoration that are attached to blinds, if they are not removed prior to the arrival of cleaning crew we will just skip them.

Area Rugs:

If there are a lot of area rugs present. Please have them rolled up and moved to the side prior to the arrival of cleaning crew so that we can clean under them. If it is not possible to move them, please understand that we will just vacuum over that particular rug.

Ceiling Fans:

We can wet wipe ceiling fans if they are accessible with a 4 foot ladder. If the ceiling fan is higher than we can safely reach we will use a high duster to gather accumulation that has settled there.

In-Home Climate Control:

In-home temperatures should be comfortable prior to the start of service. Under no circumstances will services be performed in an environment that isn’t physically comfortable for labor. This includes but is not limited to extreme heat or extreme cold.

Rules:

Please note without Water or Electric we are unable to do our job. Clutter Rule-If we come across an area that is 70% covered, we will skip it. Please try and remove as much clutter as possible prior to the arrival of all Cleaning Tech.

Our Cleaning Staff DOES NOT:

• Clean or remove blood or any bodily fluids, fire or water damage, or mold. We are not trained in these areas nor are we equipped.

•Alexandria Cleaning Service reserves the right to refuse to service a home with ANY illegal drugs present. In the event that any illegal drugs are identified, the cleaning staff will leave the property. You will be contacted immediately and charged.

•Clean the interior cabinets

• Provide stain removal

• Wash walls (we spot clean only). Wall washing is an add-on service.

• Remove Paint

• Clean areas above the reach of our 3ft step ladder

• Clean Animal waste or litter

• Move or lift items over 20lbs

Privacy:

Alexandria Cleaning Company takes privacy very seriously. We at no time will share any customer information with ANY outside source

Disclaimer:

All of our services are guaranteed to be carried out with the maximum amount of professionalism and quality. This online quote is designed to make your life easier, but is unfortunately unable to take every factor into consideration. We must however note that the numbers quoted are all based on the information provided on the quote form (which we will hold on record) and that if there is a deviation from those numbers, we must charge accordingly. Our online quote system is incapable of quoting anything that is above and beyond regular cleaning services. All bids produced by this system are subject to change, although we try not to whenever possible. Factors such as extra ladder work, heavy soiling, mineral deposits, or anything else that we are unable to factor into this sight-unseen bid which might affect the price will have to be taken into account, if need be, at the time of service-- but before the service commences. You saved yourself time. You saved us gas & time. And this whole process has helped the environment. We consider that when we are making these adjustments and only do so when it is absolutely necessary and with great consideration. Our mission is NOT to bait and switch. We just thought it is only fair that we let you know that!
